About Our School

The school opened in 1989 and it was the first new school built in the London District Catholic School Board in 10 years at the time.

St. Theresa was the first school in the system to have a daycare run by the YMCA attached. A 5-room addition was completed in September 2008, under a Primary Class Size Grant from the Province of Ontario.

Facilities

Our school has 16 classrooms, all of which are currently being used, including 2 portables. Each class has a data projector or SMART Board. We also have a complete up-to-date library, and a ever-increasing inventory of portable Chromebook devices, a data projector, and a gymnasium. Attached to our school is the YMCA Childcare.

Living Our Faith

The St. George Parish team (part of the Springbank Family of Parishes) is available to our school providing support and instruction as we work together to foster students’ faith development and a connection to the Parish. In addition, our school community celebrates mass at St. George Parish throughout the school year. Thanks to the generosity of the London District Catholic School Board, our Catholic School Council, and St. George Parish, bussing costs for the students are covered.

One of our goals is to bring our "faith to life" and we do this by our participating in charitable events. These include: participation in the Terry Fox Run. Over the years, our school has donated thousands of dollars for the Terry Fox Foundation for the battle against cancer.  Teaming up with St. George Parish to collect toys and food for our Christmas toy and our Helping Hands Food Drive. Food drives where donations are given to area shelters, community agencies and St. George Parish.
